Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account and using beatoptic, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. What beatoptic provides

beatoptic is a market intelligence tool for beat producers. It uses publicly available data from YouTube Data API Services and the Last.fm API to provide artist analysis, opportunity scoring, and SEO intelligence. All data provided is for informational purposes only — results are not guaranteed.

3. YouTube API Services

beatoptic uses YouTube Data API Services to access YouTube data on your behalf. By using beatoptic, you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service and acknowledge that Google's Privacy Policy applies to data obtained through YouTube API Services.

4. Plans, billing, and cancellation

beatoptic has a free plan and a paid plan ("Pro"). Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.

Checkout is run by Stripe. For some purchases, Link, a Stripe company, acts as the reseller and merchant of record: it processes the payment, calculates and collects any sales tax, and may be the name on your card statement. When that happens, the checkout page says so, and Link's terms and privacy policy also apply to the payment itself. Your Pro access is still provided by beatoptic under these terms.

• ·Free plan: Artist Intel only, limited to 3 searches per day (the count resets at midnight Pacific time). Free plan features and limits may change.
• ·Pro: $14/month in US dollars, billed monthly in advance. Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel.
• ·Pro yearly: $140/year in US dollars, billed yearly in advance. Your subscription renews automatically each year until you cancel. The $5 first month applies to monthly Pro only.
• ·Founder pricing: accounts created before October 1, 2026 at 12:00 a.m. Pacific time pay $9/month for Pro for as long as their subscription stays active.
• ·Founder free month: those same accounts get one free month of Pro with no card required. If you haven't added a payment method by the end of the free month, it ends automatically and your account returns to the free plan — you are never charged without adding a card. If you add one, your first charge happens when the free month ends.
• ·First month: an account that has never had a Pro subscription pays $5 (plus any applicable tax) for its first month of Pro. After that, your subscription renews at your normal Pro price each month until you cancel. One first-month price per account. Accounts that started a free trial before October 31, 2026 keep the terms of that trial.
• ·Price changes: we'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email before any change to what you pay. Changes apply from your next billing period after the notice.
• ·Taxes: prices don't include taxes. Any sales tax or VAT that applies is calculated at checkout from your location and added to your payment.
• ·Failed payments: if a renewal payment fails, we'll retry it and email you, and you can update your card from Settings. If it still can't be collected, your subscription ends and your account returns to the free plan.

Cancelling. You can cancel anytime from Settings → Plan & billing. You keep Pro until the end of the period you've already paid for and won't be charged again.

Refunds. Payments are non-refundable, and we don't give refunds or credits for partial months or years, or unused time, except where required by law. If you think you were charged in error, email us at seth@beatoptic.com within 30 days of the charge and we'll make it right.

5. Account responsibilities

• ·You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
• ·You must not share your account access with others.
• ·You must not use beatoptic for any unlawful purpose.
• ·You must not attempt to scrape, reverse engineer, or abuse the service.

6. Intellectual property

beatoptic and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by beatoptic and protected by applicable intellectual property law. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any part of the service without permission.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

beatoptic is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Market intelligence data is based on publicly available signals and is not a guarantee of commercial success. We make no representations about the accuracy or completeness of any data provided.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, beatoptic shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including any business decisions made based on data provided by beatoptic.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. Deleting your account immediately cancels any Pro subscription, without a refund for the remaining period.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of beatoptic after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
